Champ Clark, showing great improvement under a good ride, wore Goldzone down on the turn iuto the homestretch, finished fast and was going away at the end. Goldzone showed the most early speed, but tired when it came to the deciding drive. Adonis was probably much the best, dropped out of contention in the first quarter and closed a huge gap with a rush after going around Ids opponents when entering the homestretch and was going two strides to the winners one at the end. Arn ran liis race today, found a track to Ids liking and spreadeagled his opponents and was eased up at the end. Mariuibo finished fast after making a very wide turn when entering the homestretch. Gold Coin came through on the inside, finished well under a drive and outgamed Burnolette. The latter showed speed, but was tiring. Japanese Maid seemed unable to extjnd herself and was pulled up. Glenclare was on the outside for the entire trip nd did not run his race. Beautiful Bess runs best over a deeper track. Scratched 5920SToots. 100; 5934iGauze, 114. PCOI IT Till III RACE 3-8 Mile. The latter took the short route and was under a drive all of the last furlong. Chaniblet began slowly, but closed up ground witli a rush and finishing like a good colt just got up in time to nip Mclntyre out. The latter ran a good, game race. Gns Heidorn was outrun in the early stages and was waited with until well around the far tnrn before moving up, then went around the leaders when entering the homestretch and, racing it out closely with Commune through the last furlong, outstayed the latter in the final drive. Commune saved ground on the turn for home and ran a good race, but tired in the last fifty yards after Gus Heidorn had bumped into her a couple of times. Lucy Young moved up fast on the far turn, but tired in the last sixteenth. Czaraphiue was used upin making the pace. Elliott finished fast, but ran below his best form. St. Tammany ran far back for nearly the first half, but closed up with a rush in the last furlong while the others were tiring and won running away from his opponents. Room Mate raced Hopewell into defeat while rounding the far turn, but tired in the last furlong when It came to a drive. - Hopewell showed surprising early speed, but was tiring at the end and probably was a bit short. Sheen tired and can do much better. Bon Mot wheeled when the barrier was sprung. Sir Andrew bled profusely just before teaching the quarter post. Keynote rushed to the front when the start came and made a runaway affair of it, never giving the others a Wiance. Juba was saved from the early pace and closed up well on the tnrn for home, but tiwd in the last furlong. Nameoki went well and outgamed Double when It came to the final drive. Ben Heywood dropped too far back In the early stages. Del Carina was "outrun all the way. Knowledge quit badly and does not run consistently. Scratched 59370 Evaskill. 104.
