HAGGINS TAXES ARE INCREASED. Lexington, Ky., Jannary 22. The Board ot Equalization has increased the tax assessment on the land, buildings and horses of J. B. Haggins Elmendorf Stud to the extent of $.".5,000. The value ot the land had been given in and accepted by the assessor at 3 per acre. It was Increased to 10 per" acre after a thorough investigation as to its cost. "Green Hills," the Haggin mansion, did not appear on the assessors books. The board placed a valuation of 00,000 on this house. It was said at the time of its erection that its cost was 00,000.
