Miss Leeds showed the most sueed from start to finish, but had to be hard ridden at the end to withstand Buxotn. The latter made up much ground, finished fast and ran a good race under weak handling. Balmer V. tired in the final eighth after closing a big gap in the last half. Muffins showed early speed and quit badly, but should be remembered. Superior Boy could not extend himself In the going. Mimics Daughter raced to the front in the first sixteenth aud, easily holding her opponents safe for the remainder of the way. won with plenty to spare. Estelle H. showed considerable improvement, ran well in the going and finished gamely. Friction made a promising debut, ran green aud will do to watch. My Son ran well to the stretch aud tired. Charley Thompson waj well away, had no mishaps and ran to his best form. Los Angeleno, as usual, began slowly, but made up much ground and finished resolutely. Major Dainger-iield showed speed, but sulked on the backstretch and rapidly fell out of contention. Stoekwood was badly handled. Third Alarm, off well in motion, took kindly to the going and never left the result in doubt. Deuxtemps received the worst of a bad start and was on the outside and, closing considerable ground, finished well, but could never get to the winner. De Reszke ran under restraint to the far turn, where he moved into the lead and won hard held. Macbeth was pulled and hauled all over the track by Moreland, who wound up a poor ride by getting his mount shut off at the head of the stretch and was compelled to pull to the Inside. Italnland showed early speed and held on gamely to the end. The others were never serious contenders. Latheron was greatly favored by the going and well handled, wore down Brilliant on the turn to the head of the stretch and, drawing away, won with plenty to spare. Brilliant showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired when challenged by the winner. Henry O. was prominent all th? way. Gamara closed a big gap. Enver-ite could never get up.
