BENNINGS ACCOMMODATIONS SCANT. New Orleans, La., February 1C Captain W. E. French, one of the old brigade of eastern turfmen, arrived here this morning from New York and spent the afternoon at City Park. Captain French is on his way to California. Charlie Primrose will accompany him on his trip to the coast. While passing through Washington, Captain French stopped oT and visited Bennlngs. lie reports over 300 horses wintering at the Washington track. Billy Garth shipped a string of forty-seven head from Virginia to Bennlngs last week, -but could find accommodations for only twenty. The other twenty-seven were sent on to Baltimore. The superintendent of the Bennings track lias applications for 1,500 stalls. There are accommodations at the track for only COO.
