The Don, suddenly improved, came fast in the last furlong after saving ground all the way, finished on the inside and was" going awav at the end. Lineal began slowly and had to work his way up on the outside, caught Tapiola in the "final drive and beat her eut in the last few strides. The latter was outrun in the early stages, but finished well. Harvest Time was fractious at the post and unseated Ills rider twice before the start came, then showed much speed and raced Mary Worth Into defeat In the early stages, but quit badlv in the stretch. Custus ran a smart race, showed plenty of speed through the first turn of the field and fenced well until taking the s-eventli jump, where he stumbled in landing and almost unseated his rider, but came again in the last furlong and outgamed Python in the final drive. Python was kept back too long, came fast when going to the ninth jump, but tired at the end under a drive. Malcolm M. went wide at almost every jump and ran farther than any horse in the race, but finished fast and looks like an improving horse. Redman quit to almost a walk in the last three furlongs. Cambridge moved up quickly while rounding the far turn, but tired under puuifliment. Captain Busli went well. Trepan and Galmeda showed early speed. Merry Acrobat closed a big gap after being outrun in the early stages and finished on the extreme outside. Ainberita was under punishment all of the last quarter and saved ground on every turn. Siss Lee was outrun all the way, failed to show the sensational stretch run she displayed in her last previous race and can do much better. Clover Hampton slipped through on the inside on the turn into the homestretch and drew away without uiucfi effort in Uie last eighth. Limerick Girl rushed to the front when the start came and showed the most early speed and raced Alcantara to defeat in the first quarter and outgamed Lochgoil in the final drive. The latter rah on the outside of the leaders all the way and finished gamely. John Garner runs best over a heavy track and onlv went fairlv well here. The latter was cut off soon after the start and lost a couple of lengths, then closed a big gap and finished fast after making a wide turn Into the homestretch. Lucy Young ran well to the stretch, but tired under a drive. Bric-a-Brac was only cantering for the entire trip and is a good looker. Kargut showed early speed. SEVENTH RACE 7-8 Mile. Girard began slowly and was made too much use of in going to the leaders in the first half mile, but hung on gamely under punishment. Daring ran well to the stretch, then tired. Granada ran a bad race and Bellindian a good one.
