Jake Sanders, away poorly, got into a good forward position in the first quarter and finished gamely, running in improved form. Corn Blossom, inadequately handled and messed about, finished a close fourth and going as well as anvone. but swerving all over the track. F. W. Barr displayed brilliant speed in a strenuous effort to overhaul the leader and finished flagging, but game. Dr. Leggo got away badly and had but scant chalice and closed an Immense gap. Graceful, not keyed up, ran close to the leader for a quarter, then assumed the lead and appeared all over the winner, but tired in the closing strides. Chantilly, a grand looker, was a prominent and game contender throughout. Equorum Rex, outpaced in the early running, made up a lot of ground in the last half.
