ISLAND PARK TRACK IS NOT READY. New York, June 23. The published statement that the Island Park track located near Albany, N. Y. had applied for and been denied racing dates, Is untrue. J. L. Holland, the promoter of the new racing venture, stated that the bridge- connecting the island with the mainland had not been completed and that the track would not be ready for racing this season. No dates therefore had been applied for and consequently no reason existed for turning them down, as reported.
