EVIDENTLY NOT WELCOME EAST. The applications of W. G. Counselor Bill Brien, G. Land, U. Munro, Hugh Penny, S. M. Sextou, H. Simons and P. J. Williams for license to train at New York tracks were laid on the table by the stewards of the Jockey Club, as had been recommended by the License Committee. The same course was taken with the applications of jockeys James Foley and G. W. Oliphant.
