According to your own statement you bet on Preen to win the first race from which lie was scratched. The scratching ended the matter and your bet was a draw. J. W. P., St. Louis, Mo. The bet having been on Osslneke as her name appeared in the entries, viz: in the sixth race and she having been scratched from that race, it was necessarily a draw. Of course this would not apply if the bet was made at a time when IhjIIi parties knew she was to run in the fourth race and not In the sixth. In that case it would be a loser.
