EASTERN STAKES TO CLOSE. To close for entries August 15, the Saratoga Association announces the following stakes of 1907 and 1108: TO BE RUN IN 1007. United States Hotel Stakes, two-year-olds, value 0,000; 3-4 mile. v Grand Union Hotel Stakes, two-year-olds, value 0,-000; 3-4 mile. Flash Stakes, two-year-olds, value 1906.sh,000; 5 1-2 furlongs. TO BE RUN IN 1!08. Travers Stakes, three-year-olds, value ,500; 1 1-1 miles. Alabama Stakes, three-year-old fillies, value ,000; 1 1-8 miles. The Westchester Racing Association also calls the attention of owners to the fact that supplementary entries, to the Nursery Handicap and Champagne Stakes for two-year-olds, Ihe Jerome Handicap for three-year-olds and the Municipal Handicap and Belmont Park Autumn Weiglit for Age Race, for three-year-olds and over, can he made from now on up to and including August 15. These stakes are all to be run at the Belmont Park autumn meeting and the supplementary closings give practically unengaged horses, such as Horace E., Sir 1 1 lion and Jack Atkin, for Instance, a chance to get In line for some of the most desirable prizes of the fall campaign.
