MMHEKIN TO BE BURIED TODAY. Lexington, Ky., July 20. The body of C. F. McMeekln, killed in the railroad wreck at Salisbury, England, July 1, arrived here today and will be buried tomorrow morning from his late resldenco at Oakwood Farm. The Interment will be In the Lexington Cemetery. Had he known that Stalwart, the five-year-old sort of Meddler Melba, would be sold at auction on July 7, It Is altogether likely that Charles F. McMeekln would have abandoned the trip to England .which resulted in his1 death in the Salisbury wreck on July 1. When he reached New York from Kentucky In June Mr. McMeekin went to see Ed. A. Tipton and told him he was going to England to buy a stallion for his Oakwood stud, but that he would abandon the trip If he could buy Stalwart. At that time Stalwart was not for sale, but Mr. McMeekln had not reached England before it was decided to put him on the market to dissolve the partnership between, Messrs. E. R. Thomas and Alex Shields. Mr. Tipton so cabled Mr. McMeekln, but he never received, the message.
