B., away running and clear of interference, showed the most speed and, Increasing her advantage with every stride, won cantering. Lady March was a prominent and game contender throughout, but was not good enough to beat tlie winner. Shelagh ran forwardly throughout and stayed well in the final drive. Red Coat was gaining at the end and ran a good race. Stephen was hard ridden and closed a gap. Mc-Cutchen, poorly handled, went wide all the way and is not of much account. Duessa ran poorly. Froward, showing sudden improvement, ran forwardly from the start and, gaining steadily under a hard drive, got up in the final sixteenth and won drawing clear. Avendpw, also showing improvement, was slightly interfered with by Froward on the stretch turn but, finishing going fast, was probably best. Hel-muth, away fully in motion, showed the most -speed for the first half, but tired In the stretch. La Thorpe finished going fast from a poor beginning. Bitter Miss forced the early running and was eased up In the final strides when beaten. Demo had no mishaps. Goldess broke green, was as good as left and Nicol did not persevere with her. Martins, showing suddenly regained good form, finished going fast and gamely. Minnie Johnson showed a good order of speed and stayed well In the final drive. Dod Anderson was a forward contender for the first half, then tired. Proteus ran a fairly good race and is best in mud. Mint Boy was awav in a tangle and ran a bad race. Braden broke fully la motion and was hard ridden, stood punishment gamely and ran a good race. John Carroll. Fhufllen back soon after the start, closed a big gap and was going fast at the end. Zluango had no mishaps and went well, but was a lucky second. Lens, much the best, was badly ridden, suffered from interference and should have won off by himself. King Leopold came fast through the stretch and ran a good race. Bud Hill, badly handled, ran a dull race and can do much better. The Only Way had a rough trip and was knocked back on the first turn, then closed a big gap and showed sudden improvement. Leo Bright ran in much improved form and finished fast. St. Sever, badly ridden, was taken wide all the way, finishing going fast. Handy Bill was a sharp contender most of the way, but tired badly after going three-quarters.
