Malacca, from a good start, overhauled the leaders on the last turn and, golngvery wide, finished in the good going with plenty in reserve. Nancy, from a flying start, was shuffled back early and closed up again in the stretch. Tllelng broke slowly, but went wide to the outside best going and improved his position .steadily, hut tired in the closing strides. Blondy was held at the post, closed a big gap under a bad ride and was best. Rifleman also suffered at the start and made up a lot of ground. Dissent, nearly left, closed a big gap. Common Sue showed early speed, but failed to stay and was probably handicapped by the going. Ben Strong dropped to the rear on the far turn. Blue Bottle was anchored in the Inside deep going. Yama Christy was reserved in the rear of the leaders for the first mile, moved up rapidly in the last circuit of the field and took the lead on the far turn, coming on and winning pulled up. Python trailed the pacemaker closely for a mile and a half, assumed command when lie blundered at the third from the last jump, readily relinquished his lead to the winner, but kept up a game struggle Into a good second. Allegiance dropped to the rear after going the first mile, then finished with a belated rush and can do much better. Commondale outpaced and outjumped the others for the first mile and then tired and nearly fell at the obstacles. Cottontown easily made the running for nearly seven furlongs, then succumbed In the closing furlong of a game effort, may -have been short, can probably do much better on a good track !nd is a grand colt. Veronlque displayed brilliant form for her and was evidently well served by the track conditions. Tyron pulled up sore after being unable to raise a respectable gallop.
