BRADYS HORSES ARE AT SHEEPSHEAD BAY. New York, August 2S. Matt Allen has arrived at Sheepshead Bay from Saratoga with the stable of James B. Brady. He says the horses shipped well. Accountant lias six engagements at Sheepshead Bay, the first of which is the Fall Handicap, on the opening day, but he will not go in this. The Twjn City Handicap, which is to be the feature of the second day, which is Monday next, will call him out if, as trainer Allen says, "the handicapper is not too hard on him." Speaking further with reference to Accountant trainer Allen said: "My horse j is in first-class condition, and he will not need I more than one stiff gallop to equip him for the big mile and a quarter race of the Coney Island Jockey Clubs Labor Day program. Many persons profess to believe that Gallavant had Accountant groggy in the Saratoga Derby. I do not believe he did. Accountant won as far as he was asked to win. At no part of the mile and five-sixteenths journey did Jack Martin hurry him. He galloped freely all the way, and he would have run a faster race If he had been called to maintain a stiffer pace. I like- this horse very much. He is as game as they come. He does .not really flatten himself out and run until he feels the whip. If he starts in the Twin City It may be taken for granted that I think him very fit and equal to the task set before him, and he will be hard to beat;" Mr. Allen said further that the Sheepshead Bay race lie is most anxious to win with Accountant is the 5,000 Annual Champion, two miles and a quarter, to be run on the last day. After the Annual Champion it is likely Accountant will be put away for the season. He has later dates, but trainer Allen considers that he has already done his duty, and he does not believe in working an honest colt to death. He is essentially a trainer who looks ahead. Mr. Allen is not -without hope that Olseau may win the 0,000 Century Stakes; Olseau will prob- ably get a public trial for the Century in an overnight race at the Bay. Fountalnblues engagements at Sheepshead Bay are the Partridge, Dash, Flat-bush, Sapphire, Autumn, Flight, Golden Rod Stakes and the Great Eastern Handicap. The Flatbush is the race for which he is being pointed just now.
