L., Chicago. A place bet on a horse against which no place odds is laid at the track is a draw, and a bookmaker has not the slightest ground on which to keep money so bet. E. N. I., St. Louis, Mo. The bookmaker who claimed your place parlay on Itoscoe and Dollnda lost was a fool or worse. It was a winner as a single place bet on Itoscoe, and was void as to Dollnda for the reason that here was no separate place price.
