NATHANSON GIVES. HIS REASONS. Louisville, Ky., September 21. Tlie order issued by Secretary Nathanson against Hugh McCarren, Jr. and jockeys Perrett and B. Miller created much discussion among horsemen today". Secretary Nathan-son said on the subject: "The reason for my " promulgating the announcement was because of tlie contempt shown by McCarren for our ruling in permitting Perrett to accept mounts after we had suspended the rider. Miller also in accepting mounts showed a disregard for our ruling and must therefore come under the ban."
