Won handily; second driving; third the swe, Plausible secured ihc advantage at the start, took kindly to the going and showing the merit speed, established a long lead in the first quarter, then tired in the stretch, but won well in hand. Jcssamy ran a good race and finished gamely. Gracchus, probably best, was away poorly and badly handled, finished with a rush and sot up in the final stride for third place. Nedra was a sharp contender for the first half, then tired, but ran a good race. Princess Marie and La Thorpe ran far below their best form and vere never serious contenders. Miss Anxious broke quickly, showed great speed and, assuming a long lead at once, held on well in the final flrlve and scored a lucky victory. Gallopoff gained steadily through the stretch run and, with a stronger rider up, would have won. Orderly had no mishaps and was tiring fast in the last furlong. Cortez tired slightly after going five furlongs. Inspector Girl, away In a tangle, ran a dull race, but finished fast through the stretch. Principia would not extend herself fullv in the going. Maverick fenced well and showed much speed, but was t liken wide into the stretch, which caused him to lie beaten. Sigmund ran forwardly in the early stages, but tired fast In the stretch. Little Wally was a distant trailer throughout. Bank noliday sulked and pulled up of her own accord. Nlnepiu ran out at the time that St. Volma did. n. M. P. bolted at the first jump. Malleable showed good form in the going and, aided by a good ride and being clear of interference, wore down Talamund in the first quarter and held the race safe to the end. Talamund was a forward contender for the entire trip and was an easy second, but was disqualified for causing a jam soon after tne start. Dan McKenna suffered by the interference at the start and was shuffled far back, but closed a big gap steadily and, finishing with a rush, was probably best. Inflammable had 110 mishaps and tired in the stretch. Ezra, poorly handled, ran a winning nice and finished with a rush. The Pet quit badly after going three-quarters.
