TEXAS MAY HAVE A RACING COMMISSION. Dallas, Tex., October IS. Governor Langham. Senators Bailey and Culbwtson and other notables inspected the racing plant the opening day and were .delighted with the arrangements. Racing in Texas will go up to the legislature this winter with ejean hands and is strongly intrenched. Only an invasion of northern professionals, introducing racing for gambling only, could injure the sport here. It is almost certain that a law will be passed this winter creating a racing commission which will remove this menace.
