ENGLANDER TO RIDE AT NEW ORLEANS. Baltimore, Md., November 1. Jockey Englander will ride at New Orleans under the management of Roger Minton, if the Messrs. Hayman and Senator McCarren decide to send anything south, or under the direction of some other competent horseman if Minton remains in the east. But before the New-Orleans winter meeting Englander wIU get useful experience here and at Washington as the lightweight rider of the stable of William Garth. Englander reported fo Mr. Garth at Pimlico today. Garth likes the youngsters riding, which Is not bad. Englander is a well-mannered lad, with a cool, head, and he has plenty of daring. He has not had much experience. This is his first year as a real jockey, and until the death of Frelshon at Gravesend even Minton did not give him many mounts.
