Belle of Jessamine was easily the best, showed the most speed, won as her rider pleased and Is In the best of form at present. Bryan ran well and made a resolute effort in the stretch, but could not get up and was under restraint at the end. Singing Master ran a good race and will be worth remembering In slower comimny. Scarfell did nof run to his true form ami his race sliould be thrown out. Optical went fairly well. Broadway Girl showed early speed. Black Flag ran 11 good race, was under a drive at the head of the stretch and finished ah eased up second when plainly beaten. Klllochan had no mishaps except that he did not seem able -to extend himself in the going. Eminola ran ,1 poor race and. can do better. Town Topics began slowly and was closing up at the end. Bettle London ran well to the stretch and tired llru.lv. Susannak showed early, speed, but failed to stay. Scratched 55245 Cambyses, 90. Lotus Eeater Is at his best and the race was only an exercise for him, galloped Bobble Keau Into early defeat and then easily drew away. Chalfonte is worth remembering, hung on well under a hard stretch drive and outgamed Toots in the final strides. The latter ran a good race and can win when properly placed. Bobbie Kfan, evidently not ready for a bruising race, showed his usual speed, but. after going a half tired and ran far below his true form. Nonsense and Watercourse showed early speed. Garterknot, much the best at the weights, showed the most speed all the way, fenced in good style and won under restraint. Allegiance ran a good race and. when a half mile from home, was under a drive to get to the winner, but tired in the stretch run. Seventh Ward was best of the others and went well all the way. Besio took off badly at a jump on the backstretch and went down. Bery Waddell went fairly well, but can do much better. Scratched 54037 Chcrival, 144. Graziallo ran a good race and might have been closer to the winner at the end had his rider desired, .may improve by the race and will be a hard horse to beat in the future. Optician, badly handled and off none too well, .was rushed up too quickly, raced head and head with the winner on the backstretch and tired when turning for home. Noblesse Oblige ran a good race and showed much speed, but was used up In racing after the winner. Commodore Thein always held third place safe. There was practically nothing behind him excepting Monkey Puzzle, which has worked well, but did not race to his trials.
