LONG TIME MAKING GOOD. . "Youve been a long time making good, but it came fu mighty handy when you did," said Mickey Harris to jockey Hennessy after the latter won the second race at Jamaica Tuesday with Delmore. "You see," said Harris to the crowd, "I was the first one to give Jimmy a start in riding. He was a wee bit of a boy and weighed little more than fifty pounds when he first came to me. I used to put him on a horse without bridle or saddle and he would gallop around a paddock holding to the horses mane. It was in the. Winter time, and he was threatened with a snowballing if he fell off. He was: game, all right, and later on rode my horses, butr could never do better than, run second until lday. A. purse is a purse, and more jit. this, season of the year, and when he got home "with Delmore today It wiped out all the disappointments of the nasi."
