HAG GIN MAY BUY LEXINGTON TRACK. Lexington, Ky., November 24 J. B. Haggin is negotiating with the estate of the late Captain S. S. Brown for the purchase of the Kentucky Association course. Persons who arc In a positioln to know say that he will buy the property. He needs it as a training ground. Elmendorf Farm is inadequate to the proper handling of the vast number of horses owned by Mr. Haggin. There is not even room there for all of his broodmares. He has scores of them on rented pasture lands throughout the country. At the time of the purchase of the property by Captain Brown, Mr. Haggin was 011 the verge of taking it over. On the outcome of the present negotiations depends the future of racing here. Mr. Haggin has not discussed hi.s plans publicly. The people of the city and surrounding country are anxious that the meetings here le continued and as soon as the property Is dls-loscd of plans for racing will take definite shape, lhe lease held by the American Turf Association on the property does not provide for another meeting.
