Donobue ran on the outside all the way, but moved up steadily throughout and finished resolutely under the whip. Pacilico ran well to the stretch, but tired badly in the last eighth. Arimo showed brilliant speed anil set a fast pace, hut tired completely when challenged by the winner after u splendid effort. Gorgalete, running under the whip through the final quarter, finished gamely. W. II. Carey made up ground fast in t lie final quarter. Azora was speedy, but tired fast after passing the far turn.
