ACCOUNTANT WINS MORE THAN SPEARMINT. Comparison of American and English Racing Statistics as Made by a Canadian Critic, "Statistics to hand of the English racing season show that in Accountant the United States has the largest money-winner of the year," says a Canadian racing critic. "Accountants aggregate in nine victories is 49084,120, as against Spearmints 5,000, Including his Grand Prix win. Leaving the French race out Lord Derbys Oaks winner. Keystone II., heads the list in England with 1906.sh5,000. The credit of winning over 0,000 is also held by three other runners Troutbeck, Bridge of Candy another of Lord Derbys, and Dinneford. It is rather remarkable- that Keystone II. and Dinneford won only three races apiece, but the latter captured the Princess of Wales Stakes, the most valuable turf event but one of the entire season. Another big winner, Llangibby, has only one victory to his credit, but that was the Eclipse Stakes, the richest prize of.:th year, worth 0,425. The eight leading English sires of 1900 are Ladas and Persimmon, the produce of each having won nearly 00,000; Carbine. 5,000; Galllnule, 2,000; Ayrshire, 0,000; Love Wisely, 1906.shS,C0d; Jslnghiss, 1906.sh5,000 and Marco 1906.sh5,000. There are fourteen sires in the list, with over 0,000 to their credit, and nearly a dozen others close to that figure. "These figures indicate that there has been more equality among the leading sires during 1900 than for many years previously. Last season Galllnule, Isinglass, St. Frusquin and Cyllene stood ahead of the figures of Ladas and Persimmon this year, with a corresponding decrease in the winnings of those that followed. "In the United States ten of the leading sires are credited with over 1906.sh0,000 each, and the produce of nineteen are credited with over 0,000. Meddler, the leading American sire, runs quite a bit ahead of the English leaders, Ladas, sire of Mr. Seagrams stallion Cricklade, and Persimmon, sire of the same gentlemans Pershore. Meddlers produce have won nearly 50,000.. Next to Go Betweens sire comes Voter which, on ii memorable occasion, succumbed to Mr. Seagrams Cohurg with over 4,000; Fili-grane follows with .590; Hamburg with ,400; Watercress with 8,130; Hastings with 2,025; Ornament with 1906.sh8,990; Ben Strpme with 1906.sh7,295; Bel-videre with 1906.sh1,095 and Wools.thorpc with 1906.sh1,025. Asfusual, the Imported stallions? In the states have rather the best of the home-bred ones."
