Rose of Dawn came fast around the turn and, challenging Bohemia In the stretch, won drawing clear after a hard drive. Bohemia ran well and appeared the winner at the head of the stretch, but tired badly in the final drive. Stolen Moments finished resolutely and was third in the last stride. Lone Hand showed early speed, but quit badly. Jerry C. ran well. Asterisk closed a gap. The others were never serious contenders. Berkeley was off running and, racing Pierrot Into defeat while going to the head of the stretch, came away at the finish and won cantering. Beldemo ran to His best form and was out to the last ounce to save second place from Kankakee. The latter ran well and finished very gamely. Pierrot showed early speed, hut quit badly. Commodore Fontaine was easily best and went to the front -early, but two jumps from the finish he faltered and lost several lengths, but came again on the fiat and easily outfinished Palm. The latter fenced well and was much better than Mr. McCann. which ran below his true form. Locked Out made a bad landing over the hack field Liverpool and unseated Palmer. Palette stayed well and ran to her best form. Ormondes. Right ran well for a mile and a half, hut failed to stay the route. Bright Boy went to the front at once and set the pace all the way, but at the head of the stretch carried Orphan Lad lo the outside rail and it was for this, foul that he was disqualified. At the time Orphan Lad was coming on with a rush and would surely have been first hut for the interference. Adelin-ette raced well to the stretch, then tired. Belcast did Ids best and had no mishaps. Solon Shingle, after close early pursuit, was taken back and saved to the stretch, then came fast next to the rail in the last sixteenth and was drawing out at the finish. Watergrass showed excellent speed, but tired right at the end. Dolly Spanker was badly handled and kept too far back in the early stages and went wide when turning into the stretch. Bulwark was badly cut off when Bilac attempted to go through next to the rail on the backstretch. Scratclied 05008 Cederstrome, 104.
