ROSES MESSAGE INFUSES CONFIDENCE. Washington, D. C, November 30. Al Stokes today received a message from George Rose which stated that the opening day at Ascot Park was a big success with an immense crowd in attendance. Mr. Rose also gave positive assurance that the meeting would be run off according to schedule. This had the effect of deciding a number of wavering tnrfmeu in favor of southern California as the proper place to spend the winter.
