TITLE IS MOST BEFITTING, Frank McCabe has earned the title of the "Munchausen of Bennings." A group of horsemen were telling tall stories the other day, when McCabe cut in with the following: "It was in the old days of Jerome Park. I was standing up the stretch, very near the rail, and happened to have a whip in my hand. The race I was watching came down to a hard drive between two horses. One of the riders had lost his whip and was at a big disadvantage. I saw what the trouble was, called his attention and tossed him the whip I had. He caught it deftly and, plying it vigorously to the end, won the race:"
