NOTES OF THE TURF. William Scully says Fish Hawk was the gamest little horse he ever trained. Silas Veltch says Palm will be one of the best jumpers of the season of 1907. The yearling filly by Ogtlen Stella worked a quarter in :23J at Lexington last week. Pontotoc is not of much account at present. It is said 5,000 was once offered and refused for the son of Juvenal. San Francisco Chronicle. The eleven weanlings now at Senorlta Stud will be sold as yearlings In New York next spring. This will wind up the equine estate of the late Captain Brown. William Lakeland has the stallion Goldcrest and a number of marns, among them Quesal, dam of Electioneer, on a farm near Lexington, Ky., in charge of Thomas It. Gardner.
