SOME REINSTATEMENTS AT OAKLAND. Oakland, Cal., June 20. News of the victories of Firestone and Nealon at Sheupshead Bay was received with cheers at the local track this afternoon. The card here was of average excellence. Tlie feature or the racing was the long overdue victorv of the sterling long-Histance performer Mamie Algol in the mile and a quarter affair. Favorites held their own throughout. Tlie recent rulings of indefinite suspension against Jockevs E. Lynch, C. Gross, C. Williams and E. Hildebrand have been resciuiled, to go into effect taking date from June 24. Jockey W. Fischer will be permitted to ride for .T. P.. Dunn, his contract employer only. Jockey J. Hunter Is allowed the same privilege, but also limited to bis contract employer, C. C. MeCafferty. Jockey Butwell is permitted to ride for I. H. Miller. All horses whose entries have been refused at the meeting just passed are reinstated with the exception or Marshal Ney. I. A. Boss today received word that his four-vear-old bav gelding, Hedgethom, by Dundee Running Maggie, died after reaching Seattle.. The horse, which was formerly owned by T. H. Ryan, anil later by C. C. MeCafferty, had shown much improvement in form before leaving here with the Boss string. A special of twentv cars with liorses will leave here for Butte Saturday. Early Wright left for Seattle last night with his stable. Barney Schreiber has sold the two-year-old Irish Mike, by Sain Rebecca Panique, to R. R. Rice, Jr.
