I FIRST DAY OF THE YEARLING SALES. Forty-Nine from J. B. Haggins Elmenclorf Stud Bring 1,310 High Price, ,000. New York, June 20. The annual sales of thoroughbred yearlings began today in the Fasig-Tipton Companys paddocks at Sheopshead Bay with the offering of lifty-two of .T. B. Haggins big consignment from Elmendorf Stud. Forty-nine were sold for a total of 21,310, an average of 155.35. The other three were passed without a hid.- Twenty-two of the lot were knocked down to J. Reid. S. C. Hildretii bought seven and E; R. Thomas six. Only three sold for as much as 1.000, the highest price being 3,000 from A. J. Joyner for the half-brother to Quadrille, Golettn and Round Dance. E. R. Thomas paid ,000 for the lilly out of the good mare Artilla and Phil T. Chinn got the half-brother to Kinleydale and Indexible for 1,200.
