Inauguration broke well and went around on the outside witli a rush, caught Ora Sudduth tiring in the stretch run and, finishing with a rush, won going away. Ora Sudduth, a quick breaker, showed great speed for three furlongs, then tired. Truro ran well and was outside of the leaders all the way. Vilhalla was crowded back when the start came and had no chance. Manhelmer was bumped about throughout the race. Luzetta ran well. Aristotle finished fast. Concerned showed speed, but quit. Johnnie Blake outclassed his opponents, ran under restraint until in the last furlong, then went to the front and was only cantering at the end. Gun Cotton was outrun for the first three furlongs, but finished fast and caught Shindy tiring at the end. Shindy broke Hying and set a fast pace to the homestretch, lint tired in the last quarter. Kuro ran under restraint until after taking the tenth jump, gradually wore Croxton down hi the last half and outstayed him in the filial drive. Croxton fenced well, but tired and had nothing left when Kuro made his challenge. Caloorahatehee bolted into the wing at the first jump, but was remounted and finished the course. Lee Harrison II. went around on the outside witli a rush on the turn out of the backstretch, was much used in following the winner and was tiring at the end. Tyroiian finished gamely under the whip and would have been second in another stride. Alencon was cut off while rounding the far turn by Lee Harrison II. and was forced to he pulled up. De Reszke went to the post full of life, showed great speed today, opened a winning lead on the first turn and ran unextended all the way. Bitter Hand wore Gilpin down while rounding the far turn and outstayed him when it came to the final drive. Simon D;, in a pocket on the back-stretch, came fast In the last furlong and outgamed Willis Green under the whip. The latter ran well, but was messed about and repeatedly bumped into. Schroeders Midway was carried very wide on every turn and went much farther than any horse in the race. Stoney Lee showed the most early speed and tired, hut finished gamely.
