POSING IS SET BACK AT KENILWORTH. Goldstein Is Fined 0 for Foul Riding Card Is Marred by Withdrawals. Ruffalo, N. Y., July Posing finished second to Cave Adsum in the fourth race at Kenilwortli Park this afternoon, but was disqualified for fouling, and jockey Goldstein, who rode her, was fined 0. Second money was given to Deuce and third to Fleming. There were only these four horses in the race and they went to the first turn abreast. Posing was on the outside and bore in and crossed so hurriedly that Cave Adsum and Fleming came near falling. Cave Adsum was pulled up, but in the stretch he came fast on the outside and beat Posing a neck. Scratching again played havoc with the card. The second race was ruined by the withdrawal of four of the six horses entered, leaving only Irene A. and Preen to go. Preen outclassed the filly so much that the books held him at 1 to 15 and the race, if such it could be called, proved little more than an exercise for the favorite. It was Preens first appearance in colors other than those of Thomas Clyde and his manager W. F. Presgrave. The attendance was only fair and speculation light owing no doubt to the small fields. Backers of favorites had little to complain of, however, as four of their choices won. Steward Henry J. Morris returned from New York and was at his post in the stand this afternoon. He had several conferences during the afternoon witli the track velcrinary, Dr. 0. C. Farley, the nature of which could not lie learned. Abe Garsou traded to Jack Sheehan the three-year-old Dr. J. F. Aitken for the stallion Waterwing. Rotli horses were sold by the Haymans a few days ago. Sheehan will make a jumper of Dr. Aitken. The colt schooled through the field this morning and fenced well. P. M. Civill got in from Windsor this morning with Halliard and the two-year-old Moxey Mead. Halliard is carded to start in the Independence Handicap tomorrow. James Healy is due here tomorrow from Windsor with his stable, which includes the sprinter Avaun-tccr. The management announced that the horses will lie called to the post for the first race tomorrow at 3 oclock.
