Lexington Lady, off forward ly and showing great early speed, sprinted into a winning lead on the far turn, had her opponents soundly beaten when entering the homestretch and won eased iip. Miss Catebv finished gamely under punishment after being carried wide by Villialla when entering the homestretch. Gold Quartz closed a big gap and finished with a rush. Cuscowilla showed speed, but tired in the final drive. Truro met with much interference. Pedigree and Dominant closed big gaps. Villialla showed speed, but failed to stay. Lyon down and just managed to get up in the final stride. Win. II. Lyon began slowly, but went to the front with a rush on the far turn, then tired in the last six tecnth and kept bearing out in the last twenty yards. Fa ran dOr, as usual, closed a gap and finished fast. Tom Shaw was going well at the end. Cave Adsiim had a rough trip, was buffeted about in between Deuce and Fleming in the first sixteenth and sharply cut off on the first turn, where he was knocked sideways, but worked his way up on the outside and. finishing fast, outgamed Posing when it came to the final drive. Posing cut across in front on the first turn and forced the jockeys 011 the other three to pull up, showed much speed for seven furlongs and then tired and finally was disqualified. Ganopian broke slowly and ran on the outside all the way, finished witli a rush and beat out Paul Clifford in the last stride. The latter, on the inside in close quarters all through the last furlong, was tiring at the end. Tyrolian showed speed and was eased up In the last sixteenth. Cock Sure ran a good race. Master Lester showed superior early speed, but quit when Goldstein drew his whip. Thistle Do ran poorly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
