J. O .KEENES STABLE BURNS. New York, July 10. The stable of John O. Koone, iu the southeast corner of the Coney Island Jockey Club inclosure at Sheepsheail Bay, was destroyed by fire at seven oclock this morning, but the fifteen race horses that were in the stalls were saved. As soon as the hostlers realized that they could not check the blaze they cut the halters of the horses and the thoroughbreds scampered out. The lire got so good a start that when the lire-men arrived the building was a mass of Hamcs. The firemen, however, saved the adjoining stables. John O. Keene is one of the Kccne, Brothers of Kentucky. Hamilton Keene now has a division of the string at Denver. Probably the best horses in the New York division of the Kranfe are tin; two-year-olds Boas and Bravoure and the mare Kod Leaf.
