Desideratum was outrun for the fust three furlongs and until making the turn into the homestretch, where she came through fast on the inside when Lotus Brandt carried Saltram wide, but was tiring at the end. Dixon Belle was sharply cut off and knocked back on the backstretch, then went around on the outside and was carried very wide when entering the homestretch, hut finished fast and was gaining on the winner at every stride. Saltram finished very gamely under punishment. Tee Tick and Cuscowillu collided at the sixteenth post and were cased up. Lotus Brandt showed the most early speed, but ran out on th stretch turn. Keteliemike, a rapid breaker, set a v.ery fast pace, but tired and lost out under a weak linlsh. Bridge AVhist was outrun all the way. The latter was under a hard drive all of the lat furlong and was unable to improve his position. Prince of Orange finished ganiely under punishment. Tyrolian was speedy, but quit in the last eighth. Sir Ralph was waited with and nursed along until rounding the far turn, where lie moved up, caught Peter Knight tiring and drew away In the last furlong. Peter Knight ran a good race, hut was much , used in setting the pace and had nothing left when the winner caught him. Request finished driving hard to stall on Nellie Burn. The latter finished gamely. Bitter Hand was speedy, but failed to stay. Cousin Kate ran in behind Bellsnicker until straightened out in the homestretch, where she was taken to the outside, wore down Bellsnicker and, catching the latter tiring, got up in the last few strides. Bell-snicker showed great early speed, but tired under punishment and the race should improve him. Alsouo closed a big gap and finished fast. Right and True quit under punishment.
