SOME PROMISING YOUNG RACERS. Half a Hundred Highly Tried Two-year-olds Soon to Make Their Debuts. During the Coney Island Jockey Clubs Autumn meeting of thirteen days, which opens at Sheepshead Bay Saturday, many two-year-olds will make their racing debuts. Something like fifty of these as yet uneolored youngsters have engagements in such stakes as the Autumn Maiden, the Gerat Filly, the Dash, the Flalbush, the Sapphire, the Belles, the Flight and the Great Eastern Handicap, and many of them are preparing for their dates in a manner satisfactory to their handlers. Among them is the last of the get of the mighty Ormonde. This Is the filly Agnes Dorothea. She is out of Artemis, a daughter of St. Carlo. Agnes Dorothea was bred by W. OB. MacDonough at his establishment in California, where Ormonde died in the spring of 1904, and she is the only foal by him that came in 1905. This lilly worked well at Saratoga and may give a good account of herself in her first effort. Mr. MacDonough intends her eventually as one of the matrons in his stud. Alfred Noble is a bay colt by the good horse Garry Hermann, out of the young mare Ethel Pace, a daughter of Troubadour and Sunbeam. He was bred by the late Captain S. S. Brown and as a yearling was knocked down to Peter "Winnner for C. L. Harrison for ,550. Black Owl, black filly by Jalore Clymena, is a half-sister to the useful horse Neversuch, which raced in the colors of J. K. Hughes. She was bred by John E. Madden and is now owned by T. L. Watt. Blue Pilot, now in the Knickerbocker Stable, is a bay colt by the English horse Canopus out of Cerulea, the dam of Blue Bottle She was bred at J. B. Haggins Eluiendorf Stud. Bonnie Alan, by Allan-a-Dale, out of the old Great Tom mare Bonnie Blue, is a half-brother to the dead Scotch Irish, a good son of The Commoner. Bonnie Alan is in the stable of M. L. Schwartz and has been working well. He brought 1907.sh00 as a yearling. -Bonnie Star, the chestnut filly by Star Shoot-Bonnie Blue II., by Hindoo, is the half-sister to Blues, Blue Girl and Royal Blue, for which Harry Payne Whitney paid 0,000 to Catesby Woodford as a yearling. She is a supposed crackorjack and may be elected to carry the Whitney colors in the Futurity. Celt Is another son of Commando sire of Peter Pan and Colin, in the stable of James It. Keene and the work-watchers say he will do. He is out of Maid of Erin, the half-sister to Voter. Lady Patricia, Fortune Teller and Home Rule are the only get of -Maid of Erin that have raced, but they were not shining lights on the turf. Chief Brant, by Clifford Ballyrop, Is a full brother to .Molly Brant ,and Joseph Brant and Is one of the three ellgibles from the Sanford stable to the Futurity. Coppers is a eolt of which It is said John E. Madden expects great things. He is by the Futurity winner Ogden, out of Ida Pickwick, one of the best race mares that ever carried a jockey and is therefore a half-brother to Plausible. Devon Lass, which is in the Chelsea Stable, is another of the get of Ogden and was bred by John K. Madden, who sold her for. ,400 as a yearling. Her dam, Drama, is the dam of Applaud and is a sister to David Garriok, winner of over 0,000 in this country and England. Drama is by Hanover, out of that excellent mare Peg Woflington. Frank Bennett, by Griffon Lady Moccasin, is one of the lot Samuel Emery bought last year and turned over to Andy Blakeley. His dam is a young mare and her only foal to race is the three-year-old gelding Moccasin, by Meadowthorpe. Moccasin is far from a star. He lias had hard usage. He was started thirty-three times as a two-year-old and only won one race. But It is said that Frank Bennett lias shown Blakeley enough to cause him to build high hopes on the son of Griffon. Halaca, the chestnut colt by Handsel Elzarra, is a full-brother to Handzarra and Halifax, two of the quickest breakers and speediest horses that have raced in recent years. Alex Shields gave 1907.sh,100 for Halaca as a yearling, and though little has been heard of liim as to his preparation it is to be presumed that he has shown satisfactorily, because he has been kept in the Autumn Maiden and the Dash Stakes. Infanta is one of the only two youngsters in the stable of James R. Keene that were not foaled at Castleton Stud. The other is Red Bonnet. He bought them both at the auction of the yearlings owned by the estate of the late Captain Brown, paying ,500 for Infanta and 1907.sh,000 for Red Bonnet. Infanta is by Mr. Keenes stallion Disguise, out of the excellent race marc Senorita. Captain Brown thought so much of Senorita that he named his farm in Kentucky in honor of her. Though the Keene stallions are generally reserved for the mares of Castleton, the veteran turfmans consent to the mating of Disguise and Senorita was readily given when Captain Brown suggested it, for lie believed that the result of such a union could hardly be other than a good racer. Infanta is the" result and it will bo interesting, to follow . her career.. . Kidnap, the chestnut colt by Kinley Mack Stcphanotis, is a youngster that will carry the colors of J. lit Haggin. He is one of the lot he reserved out of the sales last year and sent to Barry Llttle- field, to be trained last fall. He is a half-brother to Larabie, a highly promising horse that was, unfortunately, troubled with bad legs. Other highly bred ones that should be kept under the eye as likely to perform well in the near future are: Lady Eula, Lizzie Edwards, Madchen, Mayfield, Mazuma, Miss Monterey, Mufti, Placable, Princess of Navarre, Priscillian, Reoleasa, Salvalice, Salury. Stokes, Trill, Triumph, Vaudeville, Waldorf, Wendy and Yorkville Beau. This last named is a son of the niighty Hamburg and the grand mare Yorkvillo Belle. He belongs to II. P. Whitney.
