NImporte is improving, was always prominent and a game and fast going second. Ingraham showed early speed, but quit badly in the stretch drive and was a distant, third. New. Garter finished gamely. Lee Harrison II. closed a big gap into a fast going third. Sullice showed early speed, but failed to stay the route. Dapple Gold finished fast. Jennie Wells closed a big gap, then tired badly. Elfall, suddenly improved, was reserved close up behind the leaders to the stretch, where- he moved up fast and, after a brush with Javanese, drew out and won going away. Javanese ran gamely and forwardly from the start and outstayed La Yeita for second place. The latter ran in the rear until in the homestretch, then made up ground, but ran a poor race generally. Master Lester came fast around the turn and ran into the lead in the stretch, then quit suddenly. Lady Vera showed much the most speed for three-quarters, then quit suddenly. Lillie Turner suffered greatlv from interference and was almost thrown down, but closed a big gap in the last half and, finishing iike a shot, showed sudden recovery of good form. Edwin Gum was sluggish In the early running, lint moved up on the far turn and finished very fast. Lady Savoy ran close up to the leaders to the stretch. and tired. Granada and Light Wool .showed early speed, but failed hrstay.
