Thomas Calhoun, outpaced in the early stages, dosed up with a rush at the end. Gene Russell-showed early speeil and held on gamely, although palpably short. Fleming, fresh and good, broke Hying and set the pace to the last sixteenth before he succumbed. Sir Toddington was reserved patiently and well up and -gained a lucky third place. Gold Lady, away very badly, closed , an Immense gap in a cracking effort. Kentucky Beau was palpably anchored by the bad footing. The same applies to Rock-stone. Boomerang showed superior speed. Frank Lord Is still far from racing form. Lord Badge was in nearest pursuit of the winner for a mile and three furlongs and then tired, but is extra good. Ostrich, badly outpaced from the start, finished moderately well.
