Bahyah raced Truro into defeat and saved ground by a close turn when, entering the homestretch, but kept bearing to the outside in the last sixteenth. Ketchemike and Haudmaur fought It out closely all of the last quarter and the former won out for third place. Grande Dame was sharply cut oft" and crowded back soon after the start and was going fast at the end. Petulant ran well. Truro showed the most early speed, but failed to stay. Jupiter ran well and displayed more courage than usual under punishment. AAarning showed speed, but tired under punishment. Careless set the eyrly pace, but failed to stay the route. Caper Sance showed superior early speed, but tired at the "end. The weight told on Loupania in the last quarter aud she quit under a drive. Court Martial finished last, as also did Ayr AVater.
