Easton was prominent from the start and, after being saved to the stretch, ran into the lead and finally won pulled up. Thistledale showed the most early speed and set a fast pace to the stretch, but tired badly in the final furlong. Panique closed an eariy gap aiid, finishing fast, almost got up for second place. Peter Knight made up ground steadily from a bad send-off. St. Jeanne followed Thistledale closely to the stretch and quit badly. Essex II. fenced well and hung on gamely after forcing the pace. Yntna Christy was always close np and stood a long drive resolutely. Alamansor was never a serious contender and tired badly. The latter showed a fine burst of early speed, but tired badly when challenged by the winner. Omnipotent closed a big gap resolutely and got up for third place In the last stride. Beardall was going fast at the end. King Thistle closed up much ground Into a fast going fifth. Glaucus showed early speed, but failed to stay, as also did Kingsessing. Profit closed a big gap. Beauclcre was hard to restrain and was pulling Swain out of the saddle for two miles o the journey, went to the front at the end of the second mile, opened a long lead and the result was never afterwards in doubt. Ironsides set the pace for two miles and, while no match for the winner, was easily best of the "--- others. Banker closed up with a rush right at the end and took third place in the last stride. Right r Royal ran a good race for two and a half miles and tired. The other two were never contenders. DulCeld showed early speed, but tired in the stretch. Lachesis moved into prominence on the stretch turn, but quit in the final furlong. AAeirdsome made up much ground. Lally was crowded back at the start and had no chance Oraeulum quit badly after a brief display of speed.
