MOLESEY TAKES HANDICAP IN FAST TIME. Veil Wins the Sprint Race— Aunt Aggie Is Nearly Left — Hereafter Has Distemper. Los Angeles, Cal., March 21.— One of the best cards of the season was offered May, the result l eing that an unusually large crowd was present and enjoyed an excellent days sport. "Jack" Bennet. who has been racing in poor luck here this year, carried off the honors of the day by winning decisively with Molesey. which beat out Light Wool in the filial 100 yards when the former api eared to be the winner. The talent was given a severe shock in the two-year-old race when Aunt Aggie was all but left at the post and then l eing bumped completely out of any chance, failed to finish inside the money. She was well backc d and thought to be th • best thing of the day. V. Z. D" Arman. who was ruled off by Judge Hamilton last Saturday because of the I oor showing of Hereafter, has notified the officials that the gelding is suffering from ansteaaner and they had him examined by a vet rinarian. who reported that Hereafter had a high fever, his temiauature registering MB and that he had lost considerable flesh since the race. Judge Hamilton and his associates have the question of reinstating De Arman and his horses und r ndviscin nt and will probably announce the result of their deliberations Monday. De Arman claims that the horse was evidently 111 at th • time of the race, but that it appeared to be in good coudition when going to the post. Dc Arman is anxious to have the suspension raised as he intend d to race at Seattle this summer. Jockey Shilling again rode in rare form and the books were given anoth r hard drubbing. It is almost cm-tain now that the meeting will end Saturday, April 4.
