Rose Queen broke from a standing start and was excessively urged to establish a commanding lead and appeared like .oniing home alone, but tired in the closing drive. Del Cruzador. away well, but shuffled back, came again into a fast going third. Woodlander. away very badly, closed an Immense gap. Tom Hayward. nearly left, made up much ground. Mozart was always in close quarters under a bad ride. El Picaro closed a gap. Blameless was crossed and nearly fell down early in the race. Ten Oaks got quickly into forward pursuit of the early leaders, drew out on the backstretch and held his advantage to the end and won going away. J. R. Laughrey joined the winner in the last six furlongs and forced the pace to midway of the stretch, but tired finally. Husky ran in prominent contention throughout and was a game third. Henry ., from a slow start, met with interference on the first turii and was carried wide on the last turn, but closed an immense gap and finished fastest of all. Taunt was a forward contender for seven furlongs, but failed to stay. Tonic, away very badly, closed a big gap in a rough journey and is extra good. Corrigan probably was short. Arcourt was shuttled to the rear. Triumphant showed speed, but quit badly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched — 736913Whidden. 188. Overweights — Taunt. 1 pound.
