James McLaughlin has leased the racing qualities of Glaucus and Strong Heart for the season from George J. Long. Secretarv John Dillon of the Latonia Jockey Club announces that the Latonia Derby will be run June 2 and the Memorial Handicap July 4. Eighteen additional two-year-olds have been added to the Jockev Club list of registrations. There are still a nunlber of the new racers nameless, though they have been registered under their breeding. John Cheney has leased Ballad. Hailcloud and Mothniiller for the season of 1908 from II. H. Lawrence. Hailcloud did not race last year and Moth-, miller is a four-year-old chestnut filly, by Oruus— Enfilade, which has never started in a race. J. O. Scene has received a cablegram from General Lazareff, for whom Radtke is to ride in Russia, stating that Radtke must bring abroad with him ■ certificate from the New York Jockey Club that he is in good standing. Keene has wired Radtke concerning the matter. Eleven nominations have been made for the Bel-1 mont Park Autumn AAeight-for-Age race. They are: W. II. Daniel, Blue Book. Old Honesty, Lane Allen, Montgomery, Uncle. Meelick, Tony Faiisf. Nealon. Charles Edward and Star Xallapa. The race has a later closing. August 15. when the list will probably be augmented by the entries, of a number of other horses. The Louisiana Racing and Driving Club management has decided to conduct a sixty-day meeting at the half-mile track after the closing of the winter season at the Fair Grounds. Manager Rabb has resigned, and the plant has been leased to W. M. Woodall of Nashville and W. W. Greer of Memphis, who are now overhauling the buildings and track for the opening.
