Eleven books cut in and speculation was very brisk. Tha card was marred by the withdrawal of many horses, many of the owners refusing to run owing to the recent ruling of the New Canadian Jockey Club. Jockey Walsh was lined 0 for striking Caltha with his whip in the last race. Jockey Alex was ruled off yesterday at Dufferin Park for an attempt to bribe Connolly to Dull King Thistle In the last race. As a precaution the judges took Connolly down and substituted Goines on the horse. Jockey George Swain was warned off foe alleged toutlnj; and rowdyism.
