Miss Highland drew out quickly on the inside, but lost much ground by boring out on the far turn, then came away again and won off in the stretch. Beau Man ran in nearest pursuit throughout and was a game and persistent second. Marchesa closed an early gap quickly into forward contention in the second quarter, then tired badly. Cowen steadily improved his position. Allness. tlatfooted at the start, was shullled to the rear and made up much ground. Orlin Ormonde showed early speed, but failed to stay. Argonaut was reserved close up under a pull to the stretch and drew out like the winner, but succumbed right at the end. Apto Oro ran in prominent contention throughout and is a game finisher. Mieaela made the running to the stretch and tired badly. Wamboro. from an inside slow start, was shuffied back in the middle running and gaining at the end. Figont, away badly, closed up rapidly in the middle running, but lost ground in the stretch. Pole Yard, nearly left, closed a big gap. The winner was entered for 00; no b!d.
