VISITING HIS NATIVE LAND. New York. December 12. D. Reiff. an elder brother of Johnny and Lester Reiff. who has been abroad for over ten years, is here for a short visit to this country. For a time the elder Reiff was connected with the stable of Richard Croker. bnt he has done most of his training in Italy and France. Reiff has now established himself at Chantilly and will race a stable of his own in 1909. Harry Graham, who has had considerable success in training steeplechase horses, has accepted an engagement to train a large stable of cross-country horses in England next year. T. It. Watt lias eight of tils horses at Sheepshead Bay for the winter la charge of trainer Booker. Five are yearlings, Tvlilch, have been highly tried and found very promising. The older horses are Moonshine, Harlem Maid and Home Again.
