BALTIMORE TO HAVE EXTENDED RACING. Baltimore. Md.. December 12. At a meeting of the Maryland Jockey Club today it was decided that the liberal patronage and resulting prosperity of 190S were such as to justify longer meetings in 1909. Accordingly it has been decided to ask the Jockey Club for more days of racing than were asked for this year aud if they are granted the Monumental Citv season will open with a sixteen-days Spring meeting, scheduled for the latter part of April and early May. A fall meeting is also on the program and is carded for the Jatter part of October, lasting fourteen davs. This program gives Baltimore thirty days of racing In 1909.
