STATISTICS OF BEAUMONT .RACING. The twelve-days meeting of the Beaumont Racing Association, which came to an end December -3. was the third meeting given by that association and proved to be the most successful. The attendance was beyond the expectations of the most optimistic, and every one seems especially pleased with the conduct of every one connected with it The sentiment for racing has been greatly improved with the passing of this meeting, and it is believed that with this- and similar meets recently closed over the state, which have been equally ai satisfactory, that any anti-racing legislation asked for in the next legislature, which meets in January, will not lind many listeners. The money distributed by the association during Uie twelve days of racing was not. as is often the case, won by only a few owners, but was rather equally divided among a large number, of whom the following won 00 or more each: Owner.
