WILLIAMS NOT IMPORTANTLY INTERESTED. San Francisco. Cal.. December 12. Thomas H. Williams, president of the California Jockey Club, denied the rumor that he was heavily interested in a racing venture in the City of Mexico and had the following to say regarding that venture: "I have a very slight interest in the track to be constructed in the City of Mexico. I went into it through my friendship for Alberto Terrazas, who is at the head of the institution. I will take no active part In its operation and I will not be an official of the club. "Mr. Terrazas is now traveling In Europe and on his return work on the track will be rushed. The new club has a franchise for ten years, with the option of a ten-year extension. While I shall be interested in the venture because of my friendship for the principal owner, I will take no active part. The story that I have any Intention of becoming Interested in racing in Nevada is entirely without foundation." . .
