COLD AFFECTS EL PASO RACING. El Paso, Tex.. December 23. The mile race. In which the majority of the starters were winners at this meeting, was the feature of the afternoons sport at Washington Park. It developed into an exciting struggle between the favorite. Sir Walter Rollins, and iBurnolette. the .former winning right at the end. The remainder of the card furnished some good sport, but the drop In temperature kept the attendance; down to the regulars. The track is in the best of condition and improving every day. The stable of L. Burns, which includes Dapple Gold, which won yesterday, is suspended for inconsistent running, pending investigation. Owner Farris was fined 5 for assaulting J. Harris, a valet for jockey Shriner.
